Lush So White Bath Bomb

Apologies for the poor quality of the first photo in this post - I wasn't planning on reviewing So White at all! I took a few photos of it on my phone for the ol' Instagram feed but had the good sense to use my proper blogging camera to take some in-action shots of it in the water, which I was planning on using in a Sunday Post or something. But it ended up being much prettier and more exciting than I expected and I felt So White deserved its own post!

Like I said, I reviewed So White last year and liked it, although I was left feeling a little underwhelmed (but I smelt bloody delicious.) They've redesigned it this year, though, and it keeps it's signature sweet apple scent but it's a lot more visually exciting this time around. Externally it's a little different :: it has a flattened bottom as opposed to being perfectly round and has a cute little embossed green 'leaf' on it's left side.

Once dropped into the water it begins to dissolve much like the old design: frothy and white. Only where before it would eventually release a stream of pink, this time it's a little more interesting. It begins as blue, but soon adds yellow and green. It isn't a particularly fast fizzer, which means there's plenty of time to take photos / Instagram shots or alternatively freeze in your underwear whilst admiring the show.
The crisp, fresh apple scent makes So White one of Lush's cult classics at Christmas time and following this redesign I can totally jump on board with that. Luke treated me to this one, bless him, but I'm definitely going to be stocking up before they're gone! It's easily one of the best bath bombs I've used this year and was the perfect pick-me-up on a cold Novembers day.

You can pick up So White online and in-store for £3.75. It's suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

  7. Thank you for reviewing snow white. I think I saw your original review and agree that as a Lush bath bomb it was a little lacking in visual wow. I love the new design with the little leave and the colour is so much better, very tempted to pick one up for myself now! =^-^=
