What I Got My Boyfriend For Christmas

I can't count the number of times I'd uttered the words "I can't wait to give Luke his presents" on the run up to Christmas, but I know for a fact that I'd said them once or twice (or five times) here on the blog. So I thought that now that he's opened them and assured me that I was right to be excited about them, I'd show you what all the fuss was about! I got him one 'main' present and a few smaller 'main' ones, then I just did him a stocking. I hope you don't think that I'm doing this in any malicious way, or that I'm bragging - I'm just so happy with what I got him and we both want to remember it! I also thought that it might be helpful for anyone who finds the men in their life difficult to buy for - Christmas may be out of the way, but they do have a birthday before the next one!

Main presents.
Luke's main main present were his Nike football boots. He started his own team for our local area this September and they play every Sunday. He didn't have any 'proper' footballing gear, so both my mum and I decided to kit him out this Christmas! She got him socks, goalkeeping gloves, a boot bag and some shin pads and I got him some football boots. The other gifts that I put into his gift bag were his Marvel 2016 calendar, a box of his favourite Lindt chocolates and an Iron Man Pop! Vinyl figure.
Stocking.
I had so much fun doing Luke's stocking! I'm the kind of person that likes to give and receive lots of little gifts instead of just one big one, so the task of filling his stocking wasn't a difficult one for me. I started off with the edible goodies - I got a small box of Wispas, plus some Wonka Runts and Everlasting Gobstoppers. Next on the Stocking Essentials list were socks and smellies. So I got him a pair of Spiderman ankle socks, then headed to Superdrug and picked up two of their cruelty-free and vegan body sprays. I also got him the Original Source lemon & lime shower gel. Carrying on with the theme of nicely scented things - of course I had to get him some Lush! I got him four bath bombs, two from the Christmas collection and two from the permanent range. The two Christmas bombs that I chose were Dashing Santa and Golden Wonder. They're both two of my personal favourites, plus I thought he'd like the scent of them as they're both quite citrusy. The two regular bath bombs I chose were Big Blue and Intergalactic. I chose Big Blue because it's his favourite, and Intergalactic because it's my favourite and I wanted him to try it! Finally, I had to pop in something geeky didn't I?! Luke loves graphic novels but so far had only owned Marvel/The Walking Dead ones, so I thought it was time he had some Pokémon! I picked up the Pokémon X & Y manga, as well as a graphic novel of the Pokémon Movie 2000. To go along with these, I got him a pack of Pokémon cards.

And that's it! I'm so happy with everything that I got him, and I'm like 97% sure that he loves it all. To some people this may seem like a lot of stuff, and to others I'm sure it's hardly anything. But Luke is happy and that's all that matters to me. This was actually our sixth Christmas together and I was really worried I'd have run out of things to get him, but we never seem to have this problem when it comes to each other's birthdays and Christmas. Either we know each other really well or we're just ridiculously easy to buy for ;)

  8. I got my boyfriend a watch for Christmas. It was a nice, simple watch that he could wear every day. He loved it and I was so happy to see the smile on his face when he opened it up. It was definitely worth the money and I know he'll enjoy wearing it for years to come.
