Last year, I fell in love with the scent of Lush's Yog Nog soap. It's very unlike anything I usually like (I'm a sucker for anything sweet), but it's warm spiciness drew me in. I didn't pick up any of the soap because I knew I'd never use it, but when Lush released a bath bomb this year with the same name and scent I couldn't say no!
Yog Nog is a bath bomb inspired by the classic Christmassy drink egg nog, but it is suitable for vegans! It's a very creamy and buttery scent that also has a little kick of warming spices. I hate spicy scents with a passion (they make my nose itch) but Yog Nog is incredibly bearable. The scent is very strong, though, and I could smell it every time I walked into my bedroom for about two weeks after buying it. I was a bit worried about using it because I didn't want a headache but once in the bath, it's a lot more mellow and isn't overpowering at all.
For quite a plain bath bomb it was actually really pretty when it fizzed away. It's very frothy and bubbly. The bright yellow colour seeps into the water right away, whilst white and cream foam clouds the surface. It reminded me a lot of melted butter! There are really big blobs of shea butter within the bomb that seriously infuse the water with silkiness. My skin felt sooooo lovely afterwards. According to the ingredients on the website, there's also some snowflake lustre inside but I didn't think that my water was overally shimmery.
Overall I really loved Yog Nog. It was really warming and comforting - perfect after a long walk out in the cold! I feel like if you wanted something really moisturising that was a bit more special than the Butterball, this one would be perfect.
You can buy Yog Nog for £3.95 online or in your local Lush store. It's also suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
I was in Lush last night and I didn't even see this one there! It sounds lovely. I'll have to go back and check for it!

I'm a little unsure of this bath bomb because I really don't like egg nog and the connection worries me, but you've made it really lovely. I love that it's full of shea butter, I need to give it a smell next time I'm in store. =^-^=
