What I Got For Christmas 2015

SURPRISE! I bet you didn't expect to see me pop up in your Twitter/Bloglovin' feed this afternoon, did you?! It's rare for me to upload a post at a time that isn't 8am, but the blog lighting Gods dictated that I couldn't photograph this post until about an hour ago. So here we are at 2pm!

Before we get into it, allow me to ask: how was your guys' Christmas? What did you eat? What films did you watch and board games did you argue with your family over (ours was Monopoly)? I hope you all had a wonderful day. My day was quite challenging as at one point there were 11 people crammed into my teeny tiny living room and I got a bit panicky, but I found that I could cope with the company providing I left the room every now and then to catch my breath. I also managed to have something little to eat! I haven't eaten properly for a few weeks due to one reason or another, but I'm so glad I got to have some carrot and swede mash and some roast potatoes. YUM.

Also, I'd better add in the usual disclaimer: I'm not doing this post to show off or brag in any way. I personally love reading these kinds of posts, and always think about how happy everyone must be feeling - I don't see them as any malicious, just a way to record memories.
LUSH. Whenever anyone asked me "what do you want for Christmas?" I always replied with the same thing: "anything from Lush." I wasn't expecting to receive such a huge haul, though! Luke's mum got me two Butterbear bath bombs, a Golden Wonder, a Dashing Santa and a So White. Luke got me a Star Dust bath bomb, a Luxury Lush Pud bath bomb, The Comforter bubble bar, Jason & the Argan Oil shampoo bar and a Snow Angel bath melt. He also had them gift wrapped with the snow angel knot-wrap! Bless him. From my mum I received another Butterbear, and a Twilight bath bomb. From my dad I got the Father Christmas bath bomb, plus another Luxury Lush Pud. He also got me a little bottle of Snow Fairy shower gel! Finally, my nan got me a Shoot for the Stars!

LIFESTYLE. Let's talk about my little Danys. I already have one of the Daenerys Pop! Vinyl figures, and Luke got me the other two! One of them is in key-ring form, but the other is a full-sized Pop figure. I absolutely love these, and can't wait to add the dragon Dany to my bookcase. Another gift from Luke was the Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer Amiibo card album - which goes along with the Happy Home Designer 3DS game that my Mum got me! I've been playing this non-stop since I opened it on Christmas Day. It's kind of like a cross between Animal Crossing and the home designer on The Sims! Two other things I got from my mum are the Uplifting Quotes Cards set and the beautiful Harry Potter colouring book!
CRUELTY-FREE BEAUTY. My dad, bless him. He did so well with getting me cruelty-free and vegan beauty bits. He definitely spent a lot of time in Superdrug on the run up to Christmas! From Superdrug I got the Jelly Bean body spray, a B. Micellar Water, a pack of B. Micellar Face Wipes, two Dry Shampoos, a Blue Raspberry shower gel, the Vitamin E body scrub and a ton of Barry M goodies! He picked four nail varnishes: the Gelly Hi Shine polishes in Plum, Sugar Plum and Mango, and the Speed Dry in On Your Marks. I also received the Wink Eyeliner Marker, the Showgirl Mascara, the Lash Vegas Mascara and one of the Matte lip crayons. Also he got me a Makeup Revolution lipstick in Vice.
BOOKS. I'm so lucky to have received 9 books this Christmas! 6 of them are books I've already got but I wanted these editions because... well because I think they're pretty. But three of them are new books! I received new editions of The Hunger Games trilogy from Luke and the Infernal Devices trilogy from my mum. As for the new books (which were from my Nan), I chose The Heir and Happily Ever After by Kiera Cass and Carry On by Rainbow Rowell.

MORE LIFESTYLE. How bloody beautiful are these shoes? I'm so into chunky heeled and platformed shoes at the moment, and I can't wait to start wearing these black loafers. Another beautiful gift comes in the form of MY OWN POKEMON GYM BADGE SET. Luke got me them to go with the Umbreon that his friend crocheted for me. I've wanted my own Pokémon gym badges for so so long and I'm SO happy to finally have some! Finally, the edibles: I received some Fererro Rochers, some Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, a tub of Cheeselets, some peanut butter M&Ms, a bar of Lindt dark chocolate with sea salt and a big pack of Freddos!

PHEW. I still can't believe that I own all of these amazing things. Everyone put so much thought and care into choosing my gifts this year and I can't thank them enough for everything they've gotten me. I did leave a few gifts out of this post, purely because they were either difficult to photograph or just because they're more personal to me and I wanted to keep them to myself. I hope that's okay (:

  8. SO MUCH LUSH! Oh, what an amazing haul. I'm impressed with what your dad picked out! Not sure my dad would do so well in that department haha. Oh and I'm jealous of those Infernal Devices covers. I really need to pick those editions up (and the Mortal Instruments ones too!)
My Christmas was great - I ate far too much, lost at regular trivial pursuit but bossed the Harry Potter one! We ended up arguing over whether the snow on Coronation St was real to the characters or fake... Haha!
