September Haulin' | Ft Primark & Boots

I went to Primark the other day (!!) and picked up quite a few fab things, so naturally I wanted to post a little Primark haul. Is it even Autumn if you don't buy new knitwear from Primark? I think not. I've also picked up a few little bits from a couple of other places so I figured I'd just add them into this haul, too ~

Despite my best efforts, I only picked up four pieces of clothing but they're all things I just know I'm going to get a lot of wear out of. I wouldn't call them investment pieces because they all cost less than £10 but they have become pretty central to my A/W style vibe. Firstly, I bought this snuggly burgundy jumper for £10. I sized up to an 8 so that it's a bit more slouchy and casual and honestly I've already worn it three times. I love the knit detailing on the shoulders as I think it makes it look a lot more expensive than it was! Another knit I picked up was a tight-fitting black turtleneck for £6. Again, I sized up to an 8 because I felt like the 6 was just a tad too small. Finally I picked up two shirts. These were both £7 and I absolutely frickin' love them, especially the bee printed one. They're not chiffon but they are a tad see-through so they're definitely to be worn with a vest top underneath. I got a size 6 in both as I wanted them to be more fitted. I find the sleeves are a little too long for my arms but it's not a big deal as I roll them up anyway!
Accessories-wise, I was pretty restrained and only got two things... although admittedly I picked one of them up when I was waiting in the queue to pay. Those pesky sales techniques get me every time. I'm not too mad about it though, as it was a striped tote bag that has little illustration of cacti that cost me just £1. It's on the small side but I find it the perfect size to take to the supermarket for buying all of my essentials: almond milk, packet rice, popcorn and gluten-free bread. The shoes I bought are also pretty snazzy - they're 'skater' style slip on shoes that are covered in little black sequins and cost me £5. I've been wearing them with black leggings/jeans, the bumblebee shirt and my pleather jacket and I think it looks fierce af.
My final Primark purchases include this frickin' adorable cat mug which was £2, a Pokémon print t-shirt for Luke, a pair of material headbands for £1 and a bunch of hairbands, which I bought reflexively before I remembered I don't have enough hair to put in a hairband anymore.

As for the little extras: my mum ever so kindly bought me the Barry M Speedy nail varnish in Eat My Dust and in response I treated her to a beautiful Amethyst necklace that cost just £6 in the Topshop sale. It turned out it was included in the buy-one-get-one-free deal so I got one for myself too! I've been wearing crystals a lot this year and usually wear the blue lace agate one that my dad got me for my birthday but I've swapped it out for the amethyst one at the moment. Finally I treated myself to the Lush Mint Julips lip scrub. Admittedly it's a pretty extravagant non-necessity but my lips get so dry and flaky come Autumn and it's always nice to slough it away with sugar that tastes like mint ice cream.

So that's my Autumn haul! In all honesty I've pretty much got my seasonal wardrobe sorted and don't need anything new, but it's always fun and refreshing to add in a few new little bits.
