Wreck This Journal #3

Hello! Today I am bringing you another instalment of my Wreck This Journal series, where I have so far thrown it out of my bedroom window and rubbed it on the bumper of a neighbour's car. Sadly this post is filled with prettier things than that, as no severe wrecking has gone on aside from my cat stepping in my watercolours again.

Fill This Page With Circles. As I have recently become an official crazy cat lady, my natural inspiration for this page was cats. Albeit they're a little rounder than regular cats, but aren't they just the cutest? I had a lot of fun deciding what colours and patterns to give them, and in the end they were all inspired by my cats or my boyfriend's. My favourites are the top left and the bottom left, as I just think they came out really well!
Doodle over the top of... This was my first experience using watercolour paints, can you believe it? Obviously my childhood was lacking in the artistic department, purely because you could not tempt me away from my books for anything. (You still can't now tbh). My inspiration for this page was a photo I took on the beach during sunset when my boyfriend & I were on holiday this summer. The sun reflecting on the water messed up massively, but let's ignore that part shall we?
Drum On This Page With Pencils. This page was very straight forward - I just pulled out a few random colouring pencils and started drumming along to the songs I had playing. I imagine I looked very attractive with all of the head-banging I did to go along with it, but hey!

So this is my progress so far! I have another few pages that I'll probably share in a little while - I usually add three pages per post and I had five to choose from this time, so I'll carry over the two I didn't use for next time! For more wrecking inspiration, you can check out part two & part one!

  2. LOVE it! I always like to check out different peoples interpretations of the instructions in this book and yours are awesome!
The fact you done more than just fill it with circles shows your creativity as well as the fact you used multiple colours to drum - a very nice effect.

    Best wishes, Danielle. xo
