Considering the infamous January Sales, I've done pretty well with saving my money instead of spending it. I made ONE Boxing Day sales purchase, despite the fact that I spent hours every evening scrolling through every clothes website ever, desperately trying to find a bargain. It clearly wasn't meant to be, though, because I just couldn't find anything I wanted. I think it's for the best though, because I'm really happy with the purchases I've made.
Grey Fluffy Onesie. £6, New Look. This was my Boxing Day sales purchase! I've wanted a new onesie for ages because the ones I have don't really fit me properly (short girl problems) and when I saw this one in the Teens sale I decided to take the plunge and order it. It's soooo cosy and warm and has little bear ears on the hood. Adorable. I've since sorted out all of my pyjamas and am going to be taking them to a charity shop, as I'd rather just have a few nice sets than loads of mis-matched old ones.
Grey Fabric Underwear Organisers. £5, eBay. This was my New Years resolution purchase! My underwear drawer is annoyingly messy and I have tons of bras that don't fit and pairs of undies that I find uncomfortable. So, just like with my pj's, I sifted through everything and have massively downsized my collection. What remains is now organised neatly into these fabric boxes! It was a set of three, with one for bras, one for underwear and one for socks.
STABILO Point 88 Fineline Pens. £12.22, Amazon. I love adult colouring books. I find it v relaxing and therapeutic and tend to reach for my colouring book & pens before bed to help me wind down. Since I've been indulging in this activity almost every day for the past two weeks I decided to buy myself some nice pens to colour with. I prefer fineliners because the colouring book I have is really intricate and detailed and thicker pens are too messy! On reflection these pens aren't actually that nice to colour with because they're not fibre tipped, but I'll soldier on.
Nintendo Wii & Wii Fit. £30, Facebook. Slightly indulgent purchase here, but one I feel is 100% justified. My family had a Nintendo Wii a few years ago & we used it so much that it essentially gave up on life. So when I saw someone selling one, with Wii Fit, the Wii Fit board and five games for £30 I couldn't say no! I've been playing this daily for the past few days & it's a lot of fun, especially when my sister joins in.

Calm Book. £7, Amazon. As my anxiety is so bad at the moment, I'm taking lots of extra steps to help myself feel better mentally and emotionally. One of the things I'm doing a lot more is being more mindful, and this book is kind of like a mindfulness activity-ish book. It's a very relaxing read, even just flicking through the pages with their beautiful calligraphy and neutral colours is a pleasant, calming experience. I love it so much that I decided to buy another copy to put in my giveaway!
Sprinkle of Glitter 2016 Diary. £4, Amazon. I'd been looking for a decent 2016 diary that isn't ridiculously expensive for weeks. At least until I found this one! I really like the way it's laid out and all of the little motivational quotes through-out. The fact that it's YouTuber merch kind of puts me off of it but if it was a nameless diary then I'd like it so I'm not letting it cloud my judgement.
Lover Lamp Bath Bomb. £3.95, Lush. If you saw my What I Got For Christmas post then you'll know that I definitely don't need to buy any Lush bath bombs and probably wont for another few weeks yet, but when my boyfriend was in town I asked him to pick this one up for me! It's part of the Valentines Day range and smells like chocolate oranges. Yum.
Vitamin E Refreshing Toning Mist. £2.99, Superdrug. One thing that my skincare routine was missing was a toner, so I decided to pick up this Vitamin E one from Superdrug. I'm currently using the moisturiser from the same range and am LOVING it so I'm hoping this toner will be just as fabulous. I love that it comes in a spray bottle as it means I can spritz it across my face instead of wasting cotton pads! (V sorry this isn't photographed, I forgot.)
Vitamin E Hydrating Moisture Mask. £1.69 (on offer), Superdrug. Another thing I noticed about my skincare stash was that I only own face masks suited for detoxing my skin, which is bizarre as my skin type is Dry and am always needing to slather on more moisturiser! To rectify this terrible situation I took advantage of the 1/3 Off offer in Superdrug and picked up one of their tube masks. (V sorry this isn't photographed either, I forgot this too.)
I'm v happy with my January purchases!

That onesie is so adorable! I've been doing the same with my PJs and getting rid of all of my old mismatched pairs that only half fit, haha

That onesie is so cute! My dressing gown has little bear ears on the hood too. Cute ^.^ I recently bought the Calm book too, it's great isn't it?! I tried using these type of pens to colour, but I find they soak through the page and ruin it. So I stick to crayons! Great haul :) x www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk x
ReplyDeleteYou've picked up so much awesome stuff this month! And you've reminded me that I really need to sort out my underwear drawer haha!
