New To The Shelves 04
Tuesday, 14 February 2017
I haven't posted a book haul in a good ol' while and that's literally because I haven't bought books in ages. I went through an awful reading slump last year and I can feel my taste in books evolving (which I'll touch on in another post if you'd like?) which has meant more books have been leaving my shelves than joining them - until recently, when I bought five books within the space of about a week. Today I thought I'd share them with you, along with some DVDs I've also added to my collection! Yay!
Mini Charity Shop Haul
Friday, 6 January 2017
On Wednesday my Dad & I had our first adventure day of the year and we decided to go charity shopping. You all know that charity shopping is one of my favourite things to do - I even bought most of my Christmas presents from them last year! - and it's especially fun after New Year because a lot of people will have de-cluttered after Christmas and showered their local charity shops with goodies for me to buy!
September Haulin' | Ft Primark & Boots
Wednesday, 21 September 2016
I went to Primark the other day (!!) and picked up quite a few fab things, so naturally I wanted to post a little Primark haul. Is it even Autumn if you don't buy new knitwear from Primark? I think not. I've also picked up a few little bits from a couple of other places so I figured I'd just add them into this haul, too ~
New To The Shelves 03
Wednesday, 20 July 2016
Hihi! Welcome to my second book haul of 2016. It's been a while since I bought a bunch of books in a short space of time - I've generally been picking them up here and there whenever I've come across one I like the look of - but recently I had a little splurge on Amazon (and an even smaller one in Tesco) and thought I'd share it with ya.
Mini Spring Book Haul
Friday, 15 April 2016
Hihi! I have a little book haul for you all today. It's been so long since I've bought a lot of books at one time - in fact since Christmas I've only bought two other books aside from these five. It's very exciting to be adding new books to my shelf, though, and I'm even more excited about it because I genuinely can't wait to read all of these!
January Haulin' | Ft Amazon & Superdrug
Tuesday, 26 January 2016

Considering the infamous January Sales, I've done pretty well with saving my money instead of spending it. I made ONE Boxing Day sales purchase, despite the fact that I spent hours every evening scrolling through every clothes website ever, desperately trying to find a bargain. It clearly wasn't meant to be, though, because I just couldn't find anything I wanted. I think it's for the best though, because I'm really happy with the purchases I've made.
November Haulin' | ft Superdrug & H&M
Saturday, 14 November 2015

I've been heavy-duty into Christmas shopping recently. I think I'm about 75% done now - I've just got to buy a lot of chocolate! I'm most excited about giving my boyfriend his presents, because I feel like I've done really well with his gifts this year. (I suppose I'll find out on Christmas Day!) BUT in-between all of the gift-shopping, I have picked up a few things for myself and today I thought I'd show ya what I got!
Mini Haul | Lush & Waterstones
Sunday, 4 October 2015
IT'S OFFICIALLY AUTUMN/WINTER. The Lush Christmas & Halloween range has been released! The range has been in the Lush Oxford Street store for a little while, but as of the 2nd of October, it's available in all Lush stores. I've been really ill for the past week or so, so I didn't actually manage to get to my local Lush on the release date, but I did yesterday! I also took a little trip into Waterstones and picked up a book for myself, as well as two Christmas presents.
Charity Shop & Car Boot Sale Haul
Wednesday, 12 August 2015
I think my favourite thing about summer is the fact that it's car boot sale season. There's nothing I love more on a lazy Sunday than waking up early, scouring through the clothing/books at the local car boot sale and then going somewhere for breakfast. My dad is an avid car-booter (is that even a word?) so it's become a kind of yearly tradition for us to go bargain hunting together. Another dearly beloved past-time of mine is charity shopping. I used to volunteer in a charity shop back when I was at college and I gained so much experience, as well as a complete wardrobe overhaul. If I'm being totally honest, 90% of my wardrobe is sourced from charity shops and car boot sales. I don't have the personal budget to shop in places like Topshop and Zara, so it's always nice to pick up something from there that is still in perfect condition yet is 75% cheaper.
I've collected a small grouping of clothes and books over the past two weeks or so across two outings, one of which was a car boot sale, the other was a charity shopping day trip that my mum and I went on. Today I thought I'd show you what I got!

Lush Haul | New Things & Old
Sunday, 9 August 2015
The opening of the Lush Oxford Street store, full to the brim with limited edition products, caused more than a few earthquakes in the blogosphere this year. There are new bath bombs, bubble bars, make-up, shower gels, skincare... you name it, it's there. But all of the products were exclusive to the Oxford Street store, meaning unless you were willing to venture into London or to pay ridiculous prices for someone to buy things on you behalf, you had to go without. I'm not going to lie, and this may seem 100% extreme, I had a bit of a crisis about the fact that I couldn't get these products. If there's anything limited edition at Lush I'm all over it, but I knew that it was impossible for me to go to London to get these without having a mental breakdown. So I saved every spare bit of change I had in order to buy my most desired bath bombs when they eventually leaked into regular Lush stores.
THAT DAY HAS COME.
Summer Book Haul
Tuesday, 4 August 2015

I've done pretty well with the whole 'one new book for every two read' deal I made with myself at the beginning of this year. In fact, the books in this post were the first books I've acquired for a couple of months now. They've all been on my to-buy list for a really long time, but now I have them! Now I just have to find somewhere to put them...
NEW IN: B. Cosmetics
Tuesday, 16 June 2015
Last Tuesday marked the beginning of something very exciting for me: my first order of all vegan make-up arrived! After lingering around on the Superdrug website for a little while, I realised that the B. cosmetics line was on sale so I grabbed a few things in order to replace some of the my non-cruelty-free products that I've finally finished. Since purchasing, I have actually used all of these products so let me know if you want a First Impressions/review of any of them!
February Haul | Primark, Paperchase & Superdug!
Friday, 20 February 2015
Can I just say: HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE MY NEW SHOES? Everyone I know bloody hates them haha, but I adore them. I don't even know how to describe what style of shoe they are, but I think they're gorgeous. I have quite a preppy/simplistic/Spencer Hastings kind of style, and my two purchases from Primark fit my look perfectly. The shoes were £12, and I also bought this black bowler-type hat for £7. I don't suit tighter hats (ie beanies) AT ALL and the floppy hats with wide brims terrify me, but this is the perfect size. Also from Primark I nabbed this gorgeous grey long sleeved top, that has a burgundy lace trim in the sale for £3! Total bargain.
New To The Shelves #2
Wednesday, 21 January 2015
So, I'm on a book buying ban. In order to get a move on with my TBR & 2015 Reading Challenge, I set a strict 'you can buy another book after you read three' kinda rule in order to help me with it, BUUUT these are all books I bought before the beginning of this year. It's just taken me a while to photograph them. A few of these were also Christmas presents, and one was sent to me by an author.
What I Got For Christmas 2014
Saturday, 27 December 2014
Well, well - look at me uploading a post in the afternoon! I was planning on writing up this post as soon as I photographed it earlier but Animal Crossing life got in the way and here I am, typing it up at 4pm. Lateness aside, how was your guys' Christmas?! I had a very lovely three days: I went to a Church service for the first time on Christmas Eve, I ate three servings of roast potatoes on Christmas Day and I spent Boxing Day cooking a mock Christmas dinner with my Dad. I also opened some amazing gifts!

New To The Shelves

Confession: I can't stop buying books. I have a list in my notebook filled with books I want to read and that list seems to get longer every day, despite the fact that I actually have no more room for books anywhere. My bookshelf is full - I have little stacks of books in pretty much every corner of my room! But as I pointed out to my incredulous mum - books are a good thing to spend money and time on, are they not?! And (surprisingly) two out of these three books I've read since getting them. Yay!
Mini Haul | Primark, Poundland & Charity Shops
Tuesday, 24 June 2014
Today I thought I'd share with you some of the things I've picked up recently. They were all bought on separate occasions but I thought I may as well throw them all together in one mini haul! First, I visited Primark. I did actually pick up a few clothing items which I am very happy with (I shared a pic of one on my Instagram), but I also picked up this gorgeous skull & floral design notebook and pretty little hair accessory. I don't really know what to call it - it's kind of a decorative hairband that you put around your hair when it's in a bun. If that makes any sense. It was only £2 and I thought it would be a quick and easy way to jazz up my hair for summer. Paired with shorts, a basic tee and some sunnies you're good to go! The notebook was a bit of an impulse buy - just look how pretty it is. I really didn't need another notebook, but what's a girl to do? It was £1.50 so I couldn't walk away without it. Really.
Next, on a little trip to Keynsham with my mum and sister, I picked up this cute ceramic jewellery holder in a charity shop. It was just £1.50! Bargain. The tree-like part in the middle is perfect for hanging rings, whilst the surrounding plate is now home to stud earrings. Finally, I snagged a Maybelline Baby Lips in my local Poundland! I was so happy, as it has SPF 20 which is a must for this weather. I wouldn't usually think to protect my lips from the sun, but as the skin is so fragile I'm definitely going to make an effort this year.
