DIY Washi Tape Jars

One of my new ~ life goals ~ is to flex my creative muscles doing something other than writing. Things like painting, drawing and any other creative pursuit that requires hand-eye-co-ordination doesn't come easily to me at all but I figured that I shouldn't not do something just because I'm no good at it, should I?! Over the past few months I've been attempting very basic DIYs and today I thought I'd share with you my latest try!

Not only is this DIY incredibly straight-forward and budget-friendly, it's also a great way to recycle and reuse things that would otherwise be thrown away. Allow me to introduce you to my washi tape jars.

Why I'm Buying Second-Hand Gifts This Year

{ B l o g m a s :: day two }

I have been met with nothing but positivity following my announcement to buy 90% second-hand this year, but I thought I would pen this post anyway to give a little explanation as to the exact reasons why.

Christmas Gift Guide: Gifts For Cat Lovers

Welcome to my first Christmas gift guide of 2016!

My Completed Print Wall

I penned a post back in July sharing my plans to revive my old photo wall and finally, three months later, it's complete! In all honesty it was finished about a month ago but I just hadn't gotten around to photographing it until now. In order to mark this momentous occasion I thought I'd give you a in-depth tour of it because it's pretty and also just in case you were interested in any of the specific pieces.

September Haulin' | Ft Primark & Boots

I went to Primark the other day (!!) and picked up quite a few fab things, so naturally I wanted to post a little Primark haul. Is it even Autumn if you don't buy new knitwear from Primark? I think not. I've also picked up a few little bits from a couple of other places so I figured I'd just add them into this haul, too ~

The Best Places To Buy Second-Hand Clothes

One of my 2016 goals is to purchase clothes on a 80-20 ratio: 20% new, 80% second-hand. I'm getting on really well so far - the only clothes I've bought new were featured in my recent Primark Haul and I have several fab new (to me) pieces in my wardrobe thanks to a few places that I'm going to list for you today!

3 Cruelty-Free Body Scrubs Under £5

A good body scrub is something that should be in everyone's beauty collection, so today I'm going to share with you three cruelty-free options that come in at under £5!

Christmas Gift Guide: £1 Stocking Fillers

I love stockings. And more importantly, I love stocking fillers. I'll generally get socks, pants, tea light candles, chocolates, sweets... all the good stuff! So today I thought I'd throw together a stocking filler kinda gift guide, but with a little twist: all of the gifts listed in this post are £1 or less!

Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Golden Sugar

I'm not usually aesthetically drawn to make-up (packaging is a different story) but with the Makeup Revolution Golden Sugar blush palette, it was love at first sight. I picked this up when I was on holiday back in June as it was in-store and I'd only ever drooled over it online, and I've been loving it ever since.

The Mad Hatters Tea Party

On the 16th of August, my little sister Leigh turned 8 and to celebrate the occasion, my mum and I threw her a tea party! I had literally been planning for weeks in advance, and spent so much time rummaging around in charity shops and car boot sales for tea sets. I was also on a really tiny budget as we were renting a church hall which cost a small fortune in itself, but it was all worth it in the end! I took some inspiration from Pinterest and also kind of made things up as I went along depending on what I found in stores. Almost everything that I got for the table was from Poundland, aside from the tea sets, tea pots and plates which I sourced from charity shops.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Day Cream

Doesn't this moisturiser have the longest God damn name? Just typing out the title of this post half-filled the alloted space bar. Gawd.

I finally finished my non-CF moisturiser a few weeks ago, and looked to Superdrug for a replacement. Since turning cruelty-free I've been using the Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser and my skin has fared pretty well with it, so I decided to stick to that range and picked up the Brightening Day Cream for Normal/Dry skin. I'm quite lucky with my skin really, as it doesn't have particularly expensive taste, and can manage exceptionally well with just a simple line of products and by me drinking a ton of water. My biggest problem is dryness and redness, which this moisturiser tackles easily.

Superdrug Cooling Cucumber Clay Sachet Face Mask

My skin has been playing up a lot recently, with oiliness and spots galore (there's a nice visual for you) which is SO unlike my usual dry-sensitive type. My cleanser has been working nicely to get rid of the oil and cleanse away the spots, but I was just feeling a bit gross in general because of it, and decided that the perfect pick-me-up would be a face mask. I hopped along to Superdrug and discovered their sachet masks were on 3-for-2, so I spent a little while umming and ahhing until I walked out with three, including the Cooling Cucumber Clay mask.

Bedroom Details

One of my favourite things in my bedroom is my Ikea Alex Bookcase. I'll probably do a post on the whole case itself when I'm 100% happy with the way it's being used, but until then I thought I'd share what I keep on top of it!

New Bedroom Storage

One of my favourite places to scour for hidden gems is Home Bargains. The make-up selection is a bit outdated & useless, but their home décor pieces are gorgeous. I find that the best place to look (other than, obviously, the home décor section) is the kitchen section. They have all sorts of cute little dishes and plates, as well as pretty glass storage jars - which is what I'm going to show you today.
