I've discovered a few YouTube channels lately and I thought they were worth sharing!

4 YouTube Channels I'm Loving Right Now

It's quite funny how little time I spend watching live TV these days. You'll more often find me watching YouTube videos or scrolling Netflix if I'm in the mood to watch something, and today I thought I'd share with you some YouTube channels that I've been loving lately.

The Best of Blogmas 2016

{ B l o g m a s :: day nineteen }

I know that Blogmas isn't over yet but in just under a week's time most of the posts we've worked so hard on aren't going to be relevant anymore... until next year at least! Today I thought I'd put together a little post sharing (what I consider) the best of the Blogmas posts this year.  Of course I don't follow every blog out there and I'm sure there are some incredible posts I've missed out on but these are the posts I've been reading this December. There's a real mix of lifestyle, food, cruelty-free beauty, DIY and book-related posts and can I just say how well everyone has done! It was hard to whittle down my list, to be honest. Technically not all of these bloggers participated in Blogmas but I wanted to share their posts nonetheless.

How I Organise My Blog

{ B l o g m a s :: day fourteen }

I've been blogging for over two years now and I've finally sussed out exactly how I organise bloggy things the best. The habits all evolved quite naturally, it wasn't like a "Right, I need to sort all of this crap out." kind of thing, more like something that came to me over time. I find it helps me a lot if I'm feeling overwhelmed and it helps to streamline my ideas in a way that makes sense to me. Today, in the spirit of Blogmas, I thought I would share my routine with you!

3 More New-To-Me Blogs

2016 has been the year I've stepped away from 'niche' blogs and have truly fallen for the personal, comforting art of the lifestyle blog. A few months ago I shared 3 new-to-me blogs and today I'm here with another round!

Autumn Giveaway { CLOSED }

I know I've already done a giveaway this year but a few weeks ago I reached several milestones all at once: I now have over 1,000 Twitter followers, over 500 Instagram followers and almost 600 followers for my little blog! It blows my mind just a tad considering I celebrated reaching 400 followers back in February and now I'm almost at 600... eek! To say thank you in the best way I can I've decided to throw together a little giveaway. The theme for this giveaway is 'Autumn' and features a few of my Autumn essentials!

3 New-To-Me Blogs

I've always been a sucker for a lifestyle blog. There's just something so special about getting a glimpse into the everyday life of someone else, I don't know, I find it oddly comforting. Whenever I'm feeling particularly anxious or overwhelmed I'll seek refuge in the archives of my favourite blogs (Daisybutter & Vivatramp being my most frequent visits) rather than lose myself in a TV show or movie. My list of favourites has always been particularly small, though, because as you know I'm a lover of the familiar and find it difficult to find new things to love. I've been making more of an effort recently, though, and am happy to report that I've discovered three new blogs that I adore!

4 Cruelty-Free Blogs You Need To Read

I realised that I haven't been sharing much love for my fellow bloggers on What Lauren Did Today recently - not since I wrote up my 'Blog Roll' master list. So today I thought I'd sprinkle some dazzling cruelty-free highlight onto a few of my current favourite cruelty-free bloggers! If you're just beginning to delve into the cruelty-free lifestyle then these four blogs are the perfect starting point. Not only do they share cruelty-free beauty posts (including collections and reviews), they all talk a little bit (or a lot) about vegan food!

It's that time again!

20 Festive Blog Photo Props

BLOGMAS DAY ELEVEN.
It's always fun to accessorise blog photos with props that are relevant to the time of year, whether that's by using confetti hearts on Valentines Day or conkers during Autumn. I've been playing around with using different festive things when taking my Blogmas photos recently, so today I thought I'd share with you some festive prop ideas for your own Christmassy blog posts!

4 Ways To Support Your Favourite Blogger

1. Follow Them On Bloglovin' Blogging isn't all about the numbers, but if your favourite blogger is trying to make it full-time then the number of followers they have on different platforms is really important to companies wanting to work with them. I'm SO guilty of not following blogs on Bloglovin', but it's usually because I always read their posts via Twitter. I now make a conscious effort to follow all of my favourites!

3 Booktubers To Watch Today

I love reading and writing blog posts about books, but sometimes there's nothing better than watching someone talk about books that has that certain book-lover look in their eyes. I am actually really fussy about the BookTubers (Book-YouTubers) that I watch, although that may just be fussiness over YouTube in general, so today I thought I'd share my 3 current favourite BookTubers!

One Year Blogiversary Giveaway! {CLOSED}

What Lauren Did Today is One! + My Favourite Posts

What Lauren Did Today is officially one year old! Yep, it's been one year to the day since my very first post on this blog, which was a 'First Impressions' of City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare. I can't believe how far I've come! Since that post, I've talked about mental health and anxiety, becoming vegetarian and going cruelty-free, as well as my favourite books and lots of to-do lists. If you've read the 'About Me' section of this blog, you'll know that I started What Lauren Did Today after beauty blogging for a year, and it's the best decision I've ever made.

I've met so many amazing people both through this blog and through Twitter that I'm so grateful to have met. I've also been inspired by so many fabulous bloggers, who have helped me make so many decisions, whether they were conscious of it or not. I don't think I ever would have become cruelty-free as quickly and easily if it weren't for all of the amazing cruelty-free and vegan bloggers that I follow.

*sniff* now, enough mush and tears. I thought it'd be fun to share with you guys all of my favourite posts from the past year. I did something similar in my Goodbye 2014 post, but I thought it was due an update.

Finally, I just want to say a massive THANK YOU! to everyone who reads/comments/tweets and interacts in any way with me and my blog. I recently reached 250 followers which is AMAZING and overwhelming and kind of scary at the same time. I literally can't believe that this many people find me remotely interesting! I'm so glad that people like my blog, because I put in so much effort and it's amazing to receive a comment or a tweet about a post that I've worked hard on.

Another way that I'm saying thank you will be live midday on the 1st of June, so keep an eye out for that ;)

Love you guys <3

My Book Rating System Explained

Deciding how many stars to award a book used to be really difficult for me. Because when there's only five levels to choose from, things get complicated. A book may deserve a 4 star rating for its characters, but a 2 star rating for it's plot and pacing. Or it may deserve 1 star for it's plot and pacing, yet 4 stars for the writing quality. So I quickly devised a little strategy to make book rating so much easier, and today I thought I'd share it with you guys. I know that sometimes I'll review a book and people have questioned my star rating based on the review, so hopefully this post will clarify things.

Blogs I Love #3

It's time for another dose of blog love to be shared! I love reading blogs as much as I love writing mine, and these three blogs are some of my most loved recently. You know those blogs that you read literally anything they put up? These blogs do that for me.

It's been two months since my last Blogs I Love post and I've discovered a few amazing blogs recently so thought it was time I updated my list!

 Today I thought I'd show some blog love by sharing with you some of the blogs that I am obsessed with.
