January Favourites

I think I've finally got this 'favourites' thing worked out: the trick is to actually write down the things I've been loving, because I have a memory like a sieve.
Aside from the things pictured, I've been really loving Pretty Little Liars (which I'm now all caught up on, boo) and getting this 'cruelty free' lifestyle switch all sussed out. I'm planning on doing a blog post about this change within the next few weeks, so let me know if that's something you'd be interested in. Another thing I've been loving recently is the 'travel' section of Pinterest. I've been feeling so wanderlusty (?) at the moment, like I could honestly just pack up my life and tour Europe for a few months.

My book of the month this month is The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank. I have a blog post here talking all about it and my thoughts on it, so once you've finished reading this post you can skip on over to that one if you're interested! I finished it very early in January, but I've still been thinking about it recently. Another 'big' favourite this month has been my Art Therapy sessions. I technically started back in December, but January has been the first month that I've been every week, due to the Christmas break in Dec. I think that I'm enjoying them a lot more now because I'm kind of used to the room and where things are, and I've warmed up to the other girls a lot more. I was SO timid and shy at first, but I'm just beginning to really get over that. One step at a time! My final lifestyle favourite has been something really simple: burning candles. These little tealights pictured are the Primark red berry & jasmine ones, but I've also been loving my Snowflake Cookie Yankee Candle and a cute pink Toasted Marshmallow pillar candle from Poundland.
My one beauty favourite this month has been the Lush Snow Fairy shower gel. The Comforter bubble bar has also been a huge favourite, but I always talk about that so thought I'd spare you (review here) I've also been enjoying using my Superdrug Hot Cloth Cleanser, but since I reviewed that a few days ago (here), I also didn't really want to repeat myself!
I also have two 'fashion' favourites this month! The first is this amazing grey scarf from Primark. My boyfriend bought me it for Christmas, and I've worn it pretty much every day since. It's an infinity scarf, and the inside is actually a super fluffy material. Kind of like the material they use to make fluffy socks. It's SO cosy, and it compliments my coat really well. My final favourite has been this bra from New Look - it's SO comfy, and as I find it quite difficult to find bras in my size, I was extra happy as I really like the design.
So that's what I've been loving this month! Hopefully AHS: Coven will be part of my February favourites, as I'm determined to start watching it this month! And plus, I hated Asylum, so I'm hoping it will be good. I don't think anything could trump Murder House though. xx

  1. Wow, tell us about your art therapy sessions! That must be really amazing and helpful! Really want to join these types of sessions someday for myself. And your candles are SUPER pretty. <3

    1. Thank you! I'll definitely do a post at some point, I'm about 8 weeks in now and I have quite a few weeks left so I might write one up when I'm at my midpoint xx
