Currently Reading

Hello everyone! I hope you're all well. Today I thought I'd show you what I'm currently reading. I am one of those readers that flicks between books constantly, purely because I can be in the mood to read a certain genre of book (romance for example) and if my current read doesn't feature it, I'll just pick up another book. I don't actually own any Christmassy books (unless you count The Grinch), so I haven't been reading anything particularly festive, but I thought I'd show you anyway.

City Of Ashes by Cassandra Clare. I featured this in my Top 5 Books I Haven't Finished post last month, and I really just want to finish it now. I've been reading it since like... April. Seriously. I hate leaving books for so long, and it's on my list of Things To Do Before 2015 to finish some of my TBR books. I've been reading a few pages at a time but it's just not gripping me as well as I'd like. Hopefully I'll finish it soon.

Memoirs Of A Geisha by Arthur Golden. I'm not really sure why I picked this up again - I think I was craving a bit of a historical-type read and this was the first thing I saw. This is one of my favourite books, because it really does suck you into a different world. I also really like the writing style, as it's a lot different to anything I've read before or since.

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. Again, I don't know why I picked this up. I'm not that far in, and I'm only reading a few pages at a time before I get bored. I used to be a massive fan as a teenager, but since I've been exposed to bigger and better things books I'm not enjoying it as much as I used to. I know everyone hates on these books so hard, but I do actually kind of like Twilight (despite the ridiculous relationship). The other four books in the series aren't brilliant by any stretch of the imagination, but the first one I can read.

Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban by JK Rowling. My current Harry Potter read. I always have this book series on cycle, and I read the first two back in October at some point so I'm just going through the series again. I often skip over this book for some reason, so it's nice to sit down and re-discover the magic.

So that's what I'm currently reading! Hopefully I'll get through City Of Ashes before I really begin to resent it - I just want to get it done. I know it's probably for the best if I cast it aside and not bother reading it, but I just can't do it! xx

    1. It's quite an annoying habit of mine, especially if the book is really bad! I will just suffer through it haha. I've never heard of that book, I'll look it up :) xx
