Meet Luna

If you follow me on Instagram you might have already seen me pop up a photo of her, but I felt a full-on blog introduction was necessary. Meet Luna. My new little kitten. She is 9 weeks old and is black (dark brown in sunlight) with two white half socks on her front paws and full white socks on her back paws. She has the biggest green eyes, ever. And she's just so cute I just aydhfisdnvklsn. As a little introduction I found a tag named 'The Furry Friend Tag' and I thought it was adorable and very fitting for this post.

What is your pet’s name? Luna (Full name Luna Ariel Piper as dubbed by my sister)

How did you choose/come up with your pets name? Naturally being the book lover I am, her name had to come from one of my favourite books. So I chose Luna from Harry Potter! Her 'middle name', though, is obviously from The Little Mermaid.

Do you have any nicknames for your pet? Nope. I call her Luna-Luna sometimes, though. Not really sure why haha.

What kind of pet is it and what breed? She is a plain ol' cat.

How long have you had your pet friend? Since 20th of September 2014.

How did you get your pet? I've wanted a new cat ever since my beloved cat Poppy was sadly ran over a few months ago. My mum bought me Luna as a 'I'm proud of you!' gift for passing my college course with top marks!

How old is
your pet? She is 9 weeks old. I've worked out her birthday to be around the 23rd of July.

What are some quirky things about your pet’s personality? One bizarre thing about her is that she likes to lick my eyelashes. It's totally disgusting and rather annoying, because she always does it when I'm led down trying to sleep. She also likes to sleep on my pillow above my head and snuggle her face into my bun. She's also really smart (although perhaps I'm biased) because after only a few days of being with me she knows to sit over by her food bowl and meow if she's hungry. She also prefers to play with her green jingle ball over the other colours. Bizarre.

What does your relationship with your pet mean to you? I absolutely adore her. I like to think that she definitely thinks of me as her mum, because whenever she is tired she will meow and climb right over to me and fall asleep on me. If she ever sleeps anywhere else I get very offended haha!

Has your pet ever bitten you? She has never bitten me, although I am covered in tiny little scratches! She did try and trap my eyelashes once though, which was pretty terrifying as I was half-asleep at the time!

Where does your pet live? She currently lives in my bedroom with me! She has a huge cage (which takes up at least half of my bedroom's floor space) that's filled with ribbons dangling down and her litter box, food and water bowl, plus a few blankets and one of my jumpers (she prefers to sleep on whatever I wore that day). I'll put her in there just before I fall asleep and my boyfriend will let her out as soon as he gets up for work in the morning. I also take her downstairs for most of the day, so she can explore and exhaust herself before I take her back up into my room and to bed.

At the moment she ranges from being completely 100% hyperactive to 100% 'mommy I want cuddles now'. My puppy is so amazing with her, they really do get on well and my other two cats Bailey and Frankie are very accepting over her too. I really think I lucked out with that, because my cats are so fussy.

I expect I will do another post about her soon, because I've only had her a week and she's teeny tiny at the moment and I want to document her growing!

    2. Right? For the week before I got her, I kept telling everyone that I was changing her name. I didn't really like the name her foster mom gave her. It was Lana. But I like Luna so much better. Both of mine are now named after some cool literary characters. :)
