I am so ready for September. Autumn and Winter are my favourite seasons - I love the cold, the jumpers, the roaring fires and the seasonal events. Thoughts of Halloween cupcakes and Bonfire Night nail art and the Lush Christmas collection... I just adore Autumn/Winter, I can't wait!
So, let's check back with my August Goals.
1. Finish decorating my bedroom. Half-tick. I was supposed to paint my bedroom but I never really got around to it. I've been more interested in picking up cute little accessories for my desk and bookshelf, which are both looking so good! So, half-tick.
2. Write up 2 book reviews for my blog. Tick. Technically, I did this. I posted a review of Quiddich Through The Ages by JK Rowling and I've also written up a review on Looking For Alaska by John Green which is scheduled to go up in a few days. So I pass this one on a kind of technically, which still counts right?
3. Read 3 new books. Tick. Horray! I read three new books in August: Looking For Alaska by John Green, We Were Liars by E Lockhart and Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. Here's a link to my Reading Wrap Up if you want to hear my thoughts on them! *link*
4. Update my CV. Tick. I just did a little update on my CV regarding my education and things. Sadly I don't have Microsoft Office so I couldn't do anything fancy with it, but I'm pretty happy with how it is.
5. Donate stuff to charity. Tick. Following my bedroom clear-out, I got rid of a bunch of stuff including clothes, books and old college things. My room is a lot tidier and less cluttered now!
September Goals.
1. Buy the perfect pair of winter boots. I've never actually been able to find my perfect pair of winter boots, but this year I'm going to find them. I just want simple black ankle boots to pair with jeans and ankle socks and dresses with tights.
2. Meet up with friends. I haven't seen one of my closest friends in weeks, and this month I want to schedule our reunion! Maybe a trip into town to find said boots, with a stop for a Costa coffee. Perfect.
3. Write. I've actually made this a goal previously, but I think it's one that needs to be re-introduced every month. I'm such a procrastinator but I really want to get off Pinterest and to get some words down.
4. Finish my inspiration board. Above my desk I have the most perfect blank wall that's just asking for decoration. I've decided to go for an inspiration-board type of thing, with inspiring quotes, cute photos and personal pics. I've selected a few things to go up so far, but when it's done I'll definitely share it on the blog!
What are your goals for this month?
Great goals! I think I need to donate some stuff to charity - I've planned to do a sort out so yeah, will definitely keep that in mind!
ReplyDeleteThank you! And I know, my sort-out was planned for so long but I'm glad I got it all over and done with!
DeleteYou did pretty awesome completing last months goals! I hope you are doing as well this month. What a cool post, I love this idea.
