The Sunday Post 20
Sunday, 16 July 2017
Well this feels a little nostalgic, doesn't it?! Mainly because I haven't written a Sunday Post since the end of Blogmas and I've been dreaming more and more frequently about Autumn/Winter lately. I feel like sometimes I can't express my adoration of those seasons without fear of being branded a blogging cliché, but I'm so over censoring myself.

{ B l o g m a s :: day twenty-four }
I had all of this week's posts scheduled and ready to go last weekend but I didn't want to say I'd completed it until I'd written & scheduled this post! I had some seriously shaky moments this month but because I made sure I'd scheduled myself a week ahead at all times it meant that I could have bad days without worrying I'd fail which is what took me down last year. It's honestly been a lot of fun and I really hope you've enjoyed all of my posts because I worked really hard on them.

This week has been quite an important one for me and it seems like all of the issues I've faced and dealt with this year are finally resolving themselves in one swoop. I should say though that they aren't resolving themselves, exactly - I've pushed myself incredibly hard to get on top of things (finally) and I've been rewarded for doing so. Tuesday was a pretty momentous day for me. I had a doctors appointment and I basically told my doctor a lot of things I'd kept hidden for the past year and I've been diagnosed with something other than anxiety. I'm sure I'll talk about it more openly in the New Year - I just want Christmas out of the way first - but despite it being a scary thing I actually am beginning to feel quite hopeful for the first time in a really long time. This entire year we've been treating the wrong thing but now I've been diagnosed with what I've actually been struggling with I can begin to get help and things can sort themselves out. After my appointment (and once I had finished crying) I treated myself to a Lush bath and I used So White which is my favourite from the Christmas collection this year.
I've been pretty absent online since then because I've just been working things out. I've already begun to set up support for next year (I've got an appointment in January, at least) which I worked out all for myself which makes me incredibly proud.

It's a week until Christmas!! I genuinely cannot believe how quickly December has whizzed by but I'm also kind of grateful for it. I won't lie - I'm struggling right now, but I'm working on it. I'm getting by. I'm going to be just fine. To prove this - both to you and to myself - I'm going to list some happy things that happened this week.

How are we liking Blogmas so far then gang?! This has been the first full week of posting every day since it started and I think it's going pretty well. I'm really proud of all of the posts that have gone up so far and I'm even more excited for the ones to come. I just hope you're not sick of me yet! (Genuinely tho, I'm terrified.)

Hihi! Happy Sunday!
Can we just appreciate the fact that this is one of two posts prepared to go live before Blogmas starts?! I have a post coming on Tuesday sharing a few of my new favourite blogs and then Thursday will have rolled around and it'll be December. Say whut.

Hihi! Happy Sunday! I feel like this week has passed so quickly but also so slowly. I've been notably down most days, although I think my general feeling has been 'blank'. The US election made me very anxious mid-week, although I can't even imagine how those in America must feel. Similar to how we Remain voters felt about Brexit, maybe. I also felt quite unwell this week which in turn made me more anxious... or maybe my anxiety made me unwell. It's hard to tell sometimes when I get trapped in the circle.

// I moved my tootsies away from the fire right after taking this photo, don't worry!
I've been feeling pretty rubbish mental and physical health-wise this week but instead of doing what I usually do when this happens (which is nothing) I've been keeping myself busy despite being unable to leave the house.

It's been a while since I posted one of these, eh?! The weeks are truly running away with me and before I know it I've missed seven (!!) Sunday Posts. I feel like once I miss just one it's impossible to catch up and it gets more difficult as each week goes by. I'm determined to get back at it, though, and hopefully this one will be the first of many to come over the final few weeks of 2016!

I've been feeling particularly tired and anxious this week and I couldn't really pinpoint why - at least until I sat down to write this post and realised I've been out almost every day this week. Can you believe it?! I often feel like I've not made any progress with my anxiety this year and yet when I compare a week like this one to a week set in January/February it's pretty apparent that some progress is being made. Funny how these things work, isn't it?
The Sunday Post 06 (On A Friday)
Friday, 29 July 2016
Hihi! T'is me, penning what should be a Sunday Post on a Thursday and publishing it on a Friday. But what can ya do. I'm in the mood to blog and to have a chat and update you all on what's being going on around these parts as I feel like I haven't done that in a really long time. This is the great thing about running a blog, I suppose - you can type up whatever you want and post it whenever you want and you don't really have to follow any rules other than your own (and even those can be broken).

{ VegFest Bristol, my new phone and kicking anxiety's butt. }
Upon reflection, this week has actually been pretty goooood. I had a couple of really sad days mid-week, I've been stressed out over a few things and I've been exhaustingly anxious on several occasions but I managed to do so many fun things and I'm feeling really really proud of myself.

Hello you lovely lot! And happy Sunday! I bet you're surprised to see me pop up in your Bloglovin' feed - I'm certainly surprised to be penning a post so early in my blog break. Turns out I just couldn't bear to be parted with ya! I've had a lot of epiphanies regarding my blog and where I want it to go this past week but I'm not sure how I'm going to go about it all. One thing I do know is that I want to flex my creative muscles in terms of photography, writing style and post layout so bear with me whilst I experiment!
But now, onto my week and guys - it's been a happy one. I don't think my anxiety is any better or any worse, I'm just finding it easier to endure. I still have a long way to go but I'm able to see the light, so much so that I've been wandering around singing 'At Last I See The Light' from Tangled (which, btw, is my favourite Disney movie). Feel free to laugh at my cheesiness.

Happy Easter! & to all of you that don't celebrate the holiday, Happy Sunday! I for one had a giant chunk of Easter egg for breakfast, alongside my peanut butter on toast. Cause I'm totally healthy like that. Surprisingly, though, I have managed to put the rest of the egg in the fridge for future reference because if I eat it all I think I'll die (or it'll trigger my acid reflux... but that's not as dramatic, is it?). Either way, today I am here with another Sunday Post! Back when I started What Lauren Did Today I did 'My Week' style posts yet only managed to do them every other week because my life isn't interesting enough to do it weekly and it appears that these Sunday Posts are following that pattern too. I'll try and be interesting enough to warrant a Sunday Post a week but I can't promise anything.

WHAT A WEEK. If you follow me on Twitter you'll have seen me tweet about 30 minutes ago saying I wanted to do this post but was SO TIRED so would possibly leave it until next week to start this new lil series... but then I realised how insane this week has been and I feel like it's one for the memory books, kids. So I'm gonna blog about it.
