Hello 2017

Hello 2017!

In stark comparison to the way I felt writing my 'Hello 2016' post, I know exactly what I want out of 2017. My plan for this year is to just heal, calm down and live. I spent way too much time last year thinking I should be doing these grand and exciting things when I really needed to take a step back, calm the f down and focus on healing. I'm not saying I'm going to ignore big and wonderful things if they come along - in fact I'm hoping for the opposite - I just mean that I'm focusing on the smaller things this year. I hope that concentrating on the small, base-level things will mean I can rebuild my life on a more solid foundation than ever before.

2017 Goals.
1. Get healthy, both physically and mentally.
2. Spend time with my Nan.
3. Take more personal photographs.
4. Take more selfies.
5. Wear make-up more often.
6. Try meditation again.
7. Accept and manage my mental & physical illnesses.
8. Take better care of my skin and body.
9. Save more money than I spend & quit it with the 'treat yo self' antics.
10. Document things offline as well as online.
11. Shop smarter. Buy from smaller businesses / charity shops more often.
12. Read 10 books.

I want 2017 to be a year of health, calm and self love. That's the idea, anyway. I want to be more mindful, more personal and to be honest I just want things to be simple for a little while. I want to enjoy doing all of the mundane things that I found so difficult last year.

Blog-wise? I want to keep going as I am. I think in September of last year I really began to find my passion and inspiration again and I totally love everything I've written since then. One mini goal is to comment on every blog post I read but we'll see how that goes! I'm hoping to bring back my 'monthly to do list' posts, too, because I find them v helpful for keeping me on track, big-picture-wise.

What do you hope to achieve in 2017? Please leave me your own posts in the comments, I love to read them!

  10. Your list is pretty awesome. 8 through 10 are goals I would like to accomplish as well. One of my resolutions is to only buy beauty products from brands that don't test on animals. I'm done supporting makeup companies that torture poor animals. ♥
