March Favourites

Oh hey there April. Where did you SPRING from? Hahaha... sorry about that. Today I have a big ol' favourites post for you. I think that you can tell I'm beginning to live my life again after having a difficult few months as I actually have a bunch of things to talk about today. That's how you can tell when I'm sad - I don't bother with anything so never have things to talk about. But today I have lots to talk about so YAY.

Let's start with the most important things: snacks. I've always been a small-meals-with-snacks-in-between kinda person but I rarely switched up my snacking foods. I am a true creature of habit, which I'm sure you all know by now. Last month I decided to try out some new foods because why not and now have three new favourites! The first is a big ol' bag of sweet and salty popcorn. In the photo I've shown the Metcalfes one but my favourite is actually the Tesco own brand one. The Tyrell's 'propercorn' is nice too, but I only ever get it if it's on offer. I'm a huge fan of sweet and salty foods together and I also love popcorn so it's no surprise that I like this.

My next favourite is the Alpro Chocolate Soy Milk. It's SO NICE. I exclusively drink almond milk now and was looking for a vegan replacement for my beloved Yazoo chocolate milks and I can genuinely say that this chocolate soy milk is soooo much nicer. It has an almost nutty taste so it tastes like hazelnut chocolate milk. Yummy. My final snack of the month comes in the form of the Digestives Snack Bars. Luke bought me a box of these a few days ago and I've eaten them all already. They're kinda like cereal bars, and are made up of Digestives chunks, hazelnuts, chocolate and little crispy cereal.
Onto make-up: I've featured 5 things out of my 6-part make-up routine. The only piece missing is the B. Concealer which I've talked a bit about before which is why I didn't include it here. The GOSH Xceptional Wear foundation has quickly become one of my favourite foundations although I recently discovered that it isn't actually vegan! Boo. The Barry M Lash Vegas mascara, on the other hand, is vegan though and is a pretty decent mascara. I don't LOVE it and will probably try something new after I've used it all but it's much better than the Showgirl mascara!

A slightly out-there make-up item is the  Makeup Revolution lipstick in Depraved, which is a gorgeous purple shade. I bought this on holiday last year and kind of forgot about it when Autumn rolled around - it's definitely more S/S appropriate in my opinion. Finally, the two items that have been making my cheeks look fabulous: the Makeup Revolution blush in Now and the Makeup Revolution Golden Lights highlight. I realised recently that I don't ever use anything aside from my Makeup Revolution Blush Palette in Golden Sugar and I'm now making a conscious effort to switch up my routine a bit more!
Finally, my lifestyle bits. I don't think it's any surprise that All Time Low's album Future Hearts is a favourite this month, at least if you follow me on Twitter! I feel like it's all I Tweet about some days. My favourite songs are still Runaways and Missing You, but Bail Me Out and Dancing with a Wolf is also up there. Another thing I've been tweeting a lot about recently: Legend of Korra. I've actually finished it now (it took me about 4 days) but I just started watching it all over again because I LOVE IT AND NO ONE CAN STOP ME. (Btw, *spoiler alert* I totally ship Korrasami.)

Now if I could briefly bring your attention to the background of this post: my new bedding from Primark! That I went and bought myself!! Much excite, much excite. It's a really gorgeous pattern of dream catchers and other cute boho things in the fabulously bright colours. It's a really airy material too so it's perfect for the warmer weather. Finally finally the two books I read this month: Asking For It by Louise O'Neill and Beautiful Broken Things by Sara Bernard. Both such intense reads! I've reviewed Asking For It which you can read here but I'm still debating about reviewing Beautiful Broken Things because I'm still feeling all the feels and my thoughts on it are a bit of a mess! Maybe after I give it a re-read.

  1. Great picks! I've seen that foundation and have been wondering about it. I don't know if you ever do foundation reviews but that'd be awesome if you did one on this foundation! Happy April! :D

    1. I'd definitely recommend both books! Beautiful Broken Things was a lot easier to read, but I think that's just because of how intense Asking For It is x
